A developer at my company has been working on publishing a Lightswitch Application to IIS 6.0. The preferred IIS Server for Lightswitch is 7.0 however, so we had to make sure we included all the extra prerequisites needed to run the Applications.
When he published the application and tested it he encountered the error:
Load operation failed for query ‘GetAuthenticationInfo’
After some thought, I was able to determine that the Application was not using the required .Net Framework 4.0.
I created an Application Pool in IIS 6.0 to segregate the application from other applications since it had unique .Net Framework requirements. I was then able to configure the Application to use .Net Framework 4.0 without it interfering with other Web Applications on the server.
